1:14:30 ECW didn't even have the TV show until 93', even then it was Eastern Championship Wrestling, and not Extreme. Even sandman was still carrying around a surfboard, and nobody recognizable worked there except dudes like Jimmy Snuka, and talent from other places

The rule of thumb of the “people didn’t care because no one was over” is that matches on the card have to have someone be at least recognisable or more to the fans. It doesn’t matter on the pre-show, but if they are on the main card, every match has to have one recognisable wrestler.

I worked last night so was popping in and out of the stream when I could. I actually really enjoyed it. As much as I missed AEW last night, I hope we get to continue to see this save every once in a while.

Also, if you were wondering about the monster contracts for people at the start of the save, when AI companies bid for workers they take all of their popularity worldwide into consideration (so in the case of Funk and Williams, their Japanese and American pop got more money), whereas for player companies it takes just the popularity of your base location, which is why you payed Steve Williams a tiny amount of money compared to AJPW when his Japanese pop was huge.

I'm interested in the series, probably be more interested if it was a smaller promotion in 92 and building it up to compete with WWF and WCW.
