Very interesting how my start to the Fort was so much different than this one. I started with just 2 1400 brigades and Hexamer and Crocker's Cav. Never had the chance to engage the Union forces as they marched into the Fort. Never saw an Union Supply to attack. So I had to sit on the edge of the woods and cornfields until my reinforcements arrived. Sat them in position around the Fort just on the fringe of the cannons. After waiting a hour I attacked with my lower number units until they're engaged. Then put all the full sized units into the fray to seize the fort. Fine. Then part 2 starts and I have two full sized units one half sized one and two batteries. I wish that J&P could somehow allow us to pick what units start part two and which ones reinforce. One of my biggest complaints with the original game. Again this is a great vid that really shows the strengths of this really nice mod.

I play a lot differently than you do, I go with a 6 training build to start since my recruits start out 14 points higher they tend to be very decent to start. I don't sell or buy much, using captured equipment. I only go to about 1500 size infantry, 3-400 cavalry, 12 gun artillery and 1000 man skirmishers (equipped with Harper's ferry to start). I also fill all my losses with Veterans, fill supply to 50k and get some rather elite units quickly. They aren't starred, but by 1st bull run I'm running 90 firearms on my starting units, which makes them fairly effective regardless of muskets. I also alternate what divisions do, First Division is Melee focused, second is firearm focused, etc. Melee focused gets a unit of cav, firearm focus gets a unit of skirmishers.

- For rifles short range = 100, medium = 200, long = 300, max = 400. The ranges will always correspond to 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full range for any given weapon so the actual numerical ranges will differ based on effective range.

It is not mentioned on any forum and I am not sure if it was intentional. But, you cannot use all features of MAF trainer with the rebalance mod. It specifically blocks the feature and in the essence of complete technological expression- that is not okay. There is no need to endorse, or attack other people's work due to "code oversight."

So everytime I click the link to download the mod I get an error popping up saying it is unavailable.

how come you never finished this campaign? i cant seem to find any full playthroughs on mg difficulty with the j&p mod
