"We're gonna win a national championship or I'll be the first guy fired by the same school twice."

9:35 Bullshit, Heath has been in college basketball for a long time. Hell he was an assistant under Mark Gottfried at NC State.

At least he’s honest and didn’t say Tuesday like WW did.

Matt was right about most of what he says here but as an avid Tiger basketball fan I can assure you Will did not come here without being promised that he would be given every resource available to be able to compete. Outsiders don't really understand but while LSU football pretty much pays for the entire rest of the athletic department there is only one other sport on that campus that is profitable and that is men's basketball. As good as Baseball, softball, gymnastics and women's basketball are we only have 2 sports that are profitable and that's football and men's basketball. I can assure Matt will is not going to be at any competitive disadvantage with this job.

Will gets to go somewhere where his sport is fourth priority. Getting paid and not much pressure.

As a Tiger fan, this hire is much more acceptable than the Lane Kiffen move. Will is a the fit for LSU and won’t bolt when opportunities arise. Kiffen will do what he has done time and again… flee Baton Rouge at a moments notice…

The NC State guy look like his feelings were hurt when he said it wasn't about the money

Will won't have to compete for top dog in Louisiana. He had to compete for attention in North Carolina. My uncle who worked in both New Jersey (outside of NYC) and in Louisiana said it best. When he was in NJ, he said that he was a slob among the kings, but in Louisiana he was king among the slobs.
