Survival tip: Check your altoid tin to make sure it has a survival kit inside and not a bunch of mints before you go into the wild

Being in a survival situation and still throwing back a small fish is the definition of good guy hunter

I’ll be 60 soon. I just realized, I had never seen a porcupine in a tree Thanks!

So many people dismiss the Altoids survival tin as a gimmick, but anyone who's spoken to people who had to survive in the wilderness, or watched an episode of I Shouldn't Be Alive where people had little to no gear, would realize just how life saving something like an Altoids survival tin really are.

I found Outdoor Boys and then I found you. Crazy how much of an impact you guys have on people’s lives. Keep killing it!

Random tip I picked up from my grandpa for a stick-pole: When you tie your line to it, tie it at the base, then run it up the pole, putting in a quick loop and half-hitch around the stick every foot or so. That way, if you snag on something or you get an unusually big fish and the tip of your stick-pole snaps off, you don't lose your line and all your tackle!

Biggest inspiration about this dude is how incredibly positive and even-keeled he is. I'd be cussing and hating life if I had to sleep in nothing but my clothes and a flimsy space blanket in the damp dark woods, but not him. Kudos to you sir!

Listing all the foods you’re craving while camping is too real

Man I've had to survive in the Appalachian being homeless before for about 2 months with barely any money for food and it was actually an awesome experience being so close to nature even though it was rough. Chopping down trees for shelter and firewood with a sharpened rock, getting a fish bone stuck in my throat with no way to get it out lol, eating snakes, lizards, frogs, even dead fish, wild mushrooms and plants, etc. being out in snowy weather and crazy thunderstorms flooding my shelter 3 times, and drinking from springs was the freshest water you can have, but also getting sick from dirty lake water, extreme dehydration, encountering black bears and wild cats just a few feet away! But on that whole adventure, good or bad, the wilderness experience was 10/10! Knowing survival really does come in handy because you never know what you might face in life y'all!
