I firmly believe Sergy was brought to Utah was not only because he is hugely talented, but because Simashev and But were coming soon and GMBA wanted him to be here to guide/mentor them. It'd be ridiculous to then move Sergy before those two even get started...and he's got a no-trade clause for the next couple seasons anyway.

as a habs fan...i'm very interested in hayton. what would it take for us to land him? i'm thinking i'd almost certainly send matheson at half retained, he could fit well as 2LD there. perhaps dach or newhook to fill the vacated forward spot, and whichever of our 2nds is earlier (cbj, mtl). would i have to add to that? how much?

The Toronto market is really not buzzing about this trade, I think it was a Howard hallucination to be honest, or an out loud wish list for himself. While a Sergachev trade could make sense, it's not a desperate need at the moment.

Howard was fired awhile ago. He follows on his own but has no connections to any Toronto media affiliate. Anybody who entertains rumour and reports on it is not a reputable media outlet. Please keep your reputation and refrain from using such low esteemed sources.
