I've camped out in 50 below zero weather using technology from the 17 and 1800s and clothing like they wore and I found it to be very comfortable and as long as you do the things that you know how to do calling into even a dead tree where there's a rock in front of you and you start your fire by the rock earlier keep it going and it warms up the rock which radiates the heat into your shelter you'll be nice and warm fur and wool will outdo Gore-Tex any day there's a reason they wore what they wore and used what they used The modern poly fibers are not near as good I've also made several crook knives and I would sell char cloth in Flint and steel striker kits to people

no, it does not pemmican is 2500 calories per lb, not 3500 . It's best to keep the rendered fat separate until you're ready to eat it. If the fat goes rancid, you;ll still have the jerky and the dried fruit.
