Scott also said Burrow should have a target on his back after spanking his Ravens last season .
tannermikal2 (3 years ago)
Agree! Fire him like asap. This isn’t close to being his first inconsiderate comment and won’t be the last. He needs to adapt or he doesn’t deserve that job at ESPN

Even if Higgins lowered his head it wasn’t his fault. No one had a clue that Hamlin would go in to cardiac arrest after a hit.
thoughtfulbobcat1872 (3 years ago)
Higgins hit Hamlin with his shoulder not with his helmet Scott truly needs to be fired his comments were disgusting.

Love Dad Brennaman. From one OG to another. I thought exactly the same about what Bart Scott had to say. Thank you for saying it so emphatically.

I sure miss Marty, Thom and Joe in the broadcast booth for any event.

This is a perfect example of a rational, mature, level-headed, intelligent conversation. And being between a son and dad makes it that much better.

Marty knows how to deliver a message.

Did you all notice? They all had the same expression when watching the scene play out. It was like, "OH SHIT," I got the shot too!

Things happen, there was no cheap shot, with all of our medical technology, they will get to the bottom of damar Hamlins heart issues, blaming someone for an tragic incident is not the way to go while you are on the air, Mr Higgins, ignore morons that make stupid statements about Mondays night game.

It’s crazy, how on one hand you have a group of two football teams on their knees hoping and praying for the life of a fellow brother in the game. They collectively decide that they don’t want to play, and walk away, and on the other hand you have a group of men crying out “what the hell, the show must Go on!”..ironically the ones crying out don’t know Damar and don’t have deal with that emotional loss at all..in fact they don’t have to bare the burden of empathy, the most basic emotion a human being can experience, because apparently they don’t feel it at all.

Came across this channel today. Great interview. Let us not forget that Damar is a human being, a man, a person that is involved in his community. He is more than a football player. Thanks for sharing what Broadcasting 101 is to us that don't know the business. Take care everyone.
