Our culture is treated as dead. We are not dead. We are alive and asking for people to respect and understand that. Hollywood has never treated us consistently in a way that that allows us to reclaim our identities and that needs to change. Yes, it requires intellect, research, and conscious thinking: sorry, writers and producers. When this movie is released, and when it tanks, I hope people with hearts rally against it, because we will not stand for this treatment any longer.

If it is just a comedy, then it is just a Halloween costume & then it is just a headdress on a fan, then it's just a football team name, then it is just another "tribute to Natives". It's comedy when you can laugh with them & are not being laughed at.

As someone who is not Native American OR American, I can view this whole affair from a impartial opinion. What I can see, having read the script etc, is that White Americans truly don't give 2 shits in a lot of cases and refuse to acknowledge the different cultures and forget that this is THEIR country and somehow don't see this stuff as offensive, when it clearly is putting them down in a backhanded way. America needs to grow up and realize how shit it is and work on changing the country and recognize what is really important and, not just because you were on the winning side and write your own history.
