iNewZ TV ND HIGHWAY PATROL: Early morning fire on I-29 On April 30, 2026, at approximately 12:37 a.m., a truck hauling steel pipe was traveling southbound on I-29 near mile marker 159 when the trailer caught fire for an unknown reason. The driver safely pulled over and was able to disconnect the trailer before it became fully engulfed. The fire also spread to nearby grass in the ditch. The Manvel Fire Department responded quickly and extinguished both the trailer and grass fire. Southbound I-29 was closed for about 10 minutes during response efforts before reopening. No injuries were reported. This incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota State Patrol. Reminder: If you notice smoke, unusual smells, or mechanical issues while driving, pull over safely, and call for help if needed. (1 day ago)

iNewZ TV FROM ND SENATOR JOHN HOEVEN: PRESIDENT’S BUDGET INCLUDES $250 MILLION TO EXPAND SPACE OPERATIONS AT GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE Senator Spoke with Space Force Chief Saltzman on Proposal, Which Builds on LEO Satellite Mission at GFAFB, Will Bring 180,000 Sq. Ft. Facility & More Than 100 Personnel to the Base WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, this week spoke with Space Force Chief of Operations General Chance Saltzman about the U.S. Space Force proposal to construct a $250 million Space Operations Center at Grand Forks Air Force Base (GFAFB) as part of the president’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 budget request. The proposal would bring to Grand Forks: A more than 180,000 square foot center fully equipped as a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Highly-classified operations supporting both Space Force and National Reconnaissance Office missions covering: Missile warning and missile tracking. The space data network. More than 100 personnel across two to three fully manned squadrons. The proposal builds upon the low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite mission that Hoeven worked to fund and establish at GFAFB, which will serve as the backbone of all U.S. military communications. Importantly, Hoeven has been working to ensure the LEO mission included support for missile tracking and advanced fire control, consistent with the proposal from the Space Force. Through his role on the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, Hoeven will work to secure the funding needed to support the Space Force expansion in Grand Forks, with the design phase of the new facility expected to start later this year. “This $250 million project is a major expansion of the space operations that we’ve worked to bring to Grand Forks, truly securing our state’s role in the future of military communications and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance,” said Hoeven. “This started with the LEO satellite mission that we worked with then-Space Development Agency Administrator Derek Tournear to establish. Since then, we have sought to add new capabilities to the satellite mission and build partnerships with the region’s high-tech ecosystem. So, when the Space Force outgrew its existing operations center at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado, North Dakota was an obvious choice for expansion. Now, we will work to fund this project through the annual appropriations process so we can start moving forward on design and construction.” (7 days ago)

The shot of the shooter in the car, rifle raised, is horrifying

The way the body cam stopped moving broke my heart, especially when you could hear the officer's voice in the backround on the radio telling them to send everyone. This is so disgusting.

And people wonder why cops are so hardened towards people.

Knowing that zachary was wallin's training officer at the moment is... terrifying, You can't stand quiet or calm listening your partners scream or die, Either hear the radio as another officer arriving to the scene.

I feel bad for that gal that just got into the car accident as well! I didn’t realize in the very beginning when they showed it happening, that’s who was shot. Gosh I’m sure she has ptsd now. And the other people who pulled their car over there had to witness everything too.

This is why officers usually have hands on their weapons approaching vehicle's .

Wait so the shooter had nothing to do with the initial crash investigation?
kowanajohnson7480 (2 years ago)
They wasn't even going to him. They were headed to the car that was in the accident. They were ambushed. My thoughts and prayers go out to their families of the office and the civilian. This was very uncalled for.

It's so hard to see the bodycam still playing... because it still records you watch it with the idea that you are watching trough the eyes of the cop. But not hearing his breath or his voice while you watch, only silence... thats so damn hard.
