Located on a 30-acre site at The University of Texas at Austin, the LBJ Presidential Library is one of 14 presidential libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration. The library houses the papers from the public career of Lyndon Baines Johnson and his close associates, as well as film, video, audio archival materials, and artifacts. In addition to supporting research, the library also seeks to increase public awareness of the American experience through relevant museum exhibitions, educational activities, and community programs.

Unfortunately these agencies that provide the daily brief have evolved to a state in which they believe that they tolerate presidents (the people) vs serve presidents (the people).

I'd like to trust the intelligence community, but there have been many times when they've done something for the better of the people. Which then turns out to be experiments on people. I hope that has changed and really would never know unless I was a part of it. But I'm not really interested in that.

Some comments here show a huge amount of cynicism about the people we entrust to keep us safe in our beds at night. So easy to be cynical about other people. While of course imagining your OWN thinking is clear, honest and thoughtful. These people have dedicated a lifetime of study to their fields. Why assume the worst about their motives and competence?
