Since commenting previously, I thought to add that there are premium bullets other than the Nosler Partition to be had in factory loaded ammunition that penetrate real decent on big bears or hogs. Do your research and choose wisely. .270 is still one of the best hunting cartridges. Ammo options are very good these days.

So I have a question, what kind of bullet were you using? I saw an almost perfect amount of blood loss, shot placement aside, what rounds were coming out of that?

Is your 270 a wsm or win mag ? I'm liking at getting a 270 and I am going for a spring bear so idk what one to get
