Baum Bros Adventures New video is LIVE! 🎉 A donkey stuck its entire head inside our van. My kid was three inches away. Total ambush. 😂 That's the Custer State Park Wildlife Loop — chaotic, beautiful, and one of the best free drives in the Black Hills. We also cover the entrance fee that catches most families completely off guard. Black Hills trip on the horizon? This one's essential. Link in the comments. 👇 Drop a 🫏 if a burro has ever ambushed your family! (3 days ago)

Baum Bros Adventures 🚨 New video is LIVE — and this one's a first. 🚨 We drove Needles Highway in South Dakota soon after it opened for the season. Narrow tunnels. Granite spires shooting straight up. Wildlife everywhere. And four boys losing their minds the entire drive. 😂 If you've ever wondered whether Needles Highway is actually worth it for families — we answered that question on Day 1. 👇 Watch it now and tell us: Would your family drive Needles Highway? 🎥 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAwkN... Pack food everyday and bring a French press for coffee with a small campstove and fuel! You’ll be happy to have coffee at all times in your car!

When saying “Hey, Bear” to bears…I wonder if the bears know they are called bears. Would a bear be more likely to attack if called something else?

Never been, but these tips will come in handy for when I do get out there someday.

Respect the wildlife and stay on the boardwalks were the 2 most broken rules we saw on our trip. Someone got too close to an elk fight trying to get a better photo and ended up leaving in an ambulance near the Mammoth Hotel and Cabins. I also saw someone walking their dog off the boardwalk near Prismatic. Please respect the park. It is a remarkable wild area. In fact, it has been the only place on earth I have traveled in that I have ever been nervous about wildlife encounters.

I’d say you nailed it! Biggest tip we ever received for this trip was just to give yourself plenty of time! There is so much to see and why rush it, take your time, enjoy the views and relax!

When hiking or backpacking wear a sleigh bell with a shoe string tied to a front belt loop. That may be why I’ve never seen a bear in the Yellowstone wilderness

While coming upon a very large herd of buffalo in the park, nearly more cars there at a standstill than animals. Finally inching our way with no sign of escape Ken rolled the window and let loose a good loud herding whistle, and immediately seen action from the beast they started moving off the road quickly, pretty neat to experience that we wondered if park rangers would herd them at times on horseback because they attacked like they knew what to do.

Good call on the binoculars too. As a birder, I’d have them anyway.. but the vast landscapes like you called out, I wouldn’t want to miss anything else out across the valley or on the horizon. Good call 🏻

My Pro Tip: Go to YNP in the Fall. In the Summer, you will sit in traffic jams caused by charismatic macro fauna. People will literally stop in the road even though there may be a shoulder. You can't get by until the 15 cars in front of you all get their turn to be up close.

Great tips, for sure. I would add, the park is definitely not pet friendly. Leave your animal friends home.
